Summer Best Curtains Collection

Curtain Collection — Homemonde

Dress Your Windows. Define Your Space.

A curtain does more than block light — it sets the mood of an entire room. Whether you want soft daylight filtering through sheers or complete privacy with blackout drapes, the right curtain transforms how a space feels and functions.

Our curtain collection brings together thoughtful fabrics, elegant drape, and everyday practicality — designed for modern Indian homes where style and comfort need to work together.

Why Curtains Matter More Than You Think

Light changes the mood of a room — Curtains let you control brightness, glare, and ambiance throughout the day. From airy sheers to full blackout styles, every fabric creates a different atmosphere.

Privacy should feel effortless — The right curtain gives you comfort and seclusion without making your room feel closed off.

Temperature control matters — Heavier curtains help reduce heat during Indian summers and provide insulation during cooler months.

Soft furnishings complete a space — Curtains visually frame windows, soften hard architectural lines, and bring balance to the overall décor.

Texture creates character — Whether it's flowing sheers or rich velvet drapes, curtain fabrics add depth, warmth, and personality to interiors.

Our Collection

Sheer Curtains

Lightweight and luminous, our sheer curtains softly diffuse sunlight while maintaining a bright, open atmosphere. Designed to create a calm and airy feel without completely blocking natural light.

Available in solids, textures, and subtle printed styles, with select designs featuring delicate pom-pom detailing.

Feel: Airy, flowing, lightweight
Light control: Soft light filtering
Best for: Living rooms, balconies, dining spaces, layering with drapes

Blackout Curtains

Designed for maximum privacy and light control, our blackout curtains use tightly woven fabric construction that helps darken rooms while reducing outside heat and glare.

Ideal for uninterrupted sleep, movie rooms, or spaces exposed to strong afternoon sunlight.

Feel: Structured, substantial drape
Light control: Near-total blackout
Best for: Bedrooms, nurseries, home theatres, home offices

Printed Semi-Blackout Curtains

The perfect balance between decoration and functionality. These curtains soften incoming light while still maintaining a bright and welcoming room atmosphere.

Printed patterns add personality without overpowering the space.

Feel: Medium weight, decorative
Light control: Reduces glare with partial privacy
Best for: Bedrooms, kids' rooms, everyday living spaces

Velvet Curtains

Rich, dramatic, and luxurious — velvet curtains instantly elevate a room with their plush texture and elegant fall. Their heavier construction naturally helps block light and soften outside noise.

Perfect for creating warmth and a more intimate atmosphere.

Feel: Plush, heavy, opulent
Light control: High natural light blocking
Best for: Master bedrooms, formal living rooms, statement interiors

Size Guide

Curtains are sold per panel. For complete coverage and a fuller gathered look, most windows require two panels.

Materials

Cotton — Soft, breathable, and naturally comfortable. Cotton curtains drape beautifully and work especially well in everyday living spaces.

Polyester — Durable, wrinkle-resistant, and easy to maintain. Polyester fabrics hold colour well and allow printed patterns to stay vibrant over time.

Velvet — Dense and luxurious with excellent insulation and natural sound absorption. Ideal for statement interiors and cooler environments.

What to Consider When Choosing Curtains

Room function matters — Bedrooms often benefit from blackout curtains, while living spaces usually work best with sheers or semi-blackout styles.

Length changes the visual height — Floor-length curtains make ceilings appear taller and rooms feel more refined.

Layering improves flexibility — Pairing sheers with blackout curtains allows you to control both privacy and natural light throughout the day.

Fabric affects the mood — Light fabrics create openness and softness, while heavier materials add drama and warmth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure curtains correctly?
Measure the width of your curtain rod and add extra width for a fuller appearance. For height, measure from the rod to your desired curtain length.

Are curtains sold as single panels or pairs?
Our curtains are sold individually per panel. Most standard windows require two panels for complete coverage.

Which curtains are best for summer?
Sheer curtains allow airflow while reducing harsh glare. Semi-blackout and blackout curtains in lighter shades also help reduce heat buildup.

Can blackout curtains be used in living rooms?
Yes. They work especially well in west-facing rooms, TV rooms, and home theatre setups where controlling sunlight is important.

Do velvet curtains suit Indian weather?
Velvet works best in cooler environments or air-conditioned rooms. For warmer climates, lighter cotton or sheer fabrics are usually more comfortable.

What is the difference between blackout and semi-blackout curtains?
Blackout curtains block most incoming light for maximum darkness and privacy. Semi-blackout curtains reduce glare while still allowing some soft natural light into the room.
